That's particularly true when you're working on a laptop, where the pointing device is even slower. The answer - short of growing another arm - is to learn a few "handy" keyboard shortcuts.
Here are 10 of the best: 1.

Make a quick exit: ALT - F4 will terminate any program immediately. 2. Flick - don't click: ALT - TAB to flick through open programs. 3. Make a quick selection: CTRL - SHIFT and move cursor with left / right / up / down arrows to quickly select areas of text.

From the Giant Keyboard in the Movie “Big”, to the Magic of “Piano Wizard”, FAO Schwarz Toyland Continues It’s Landmark Music Making Tradition This Holiday Season

(ContentDesk) December 9, 2005 -- The holiday season in New York City means snow-covered sidewalks, ice-skating at Rockefeller Center, and no kids winter experience is complete without a visit to the world famous toy display at FAO Schwarz. The store's guiding principle has not changed since 1862: to provide the world's children with the most extraordinary toys, and this year FAOs Toyland will include one of the hottest new gifts on the market: Piano Wizard".One of the classic movie moments and memories is Tom Hanks hopping across the giant keyboard at FAO Schwarz in the movie Big, said Chris Salter, inventor of Piano Wizard and founder of parent company Allegro Multimedia.
In that moment, he brings out the musical child in all of us, and that is what we have strived to do with Piano Wizard from the outset. To have Piano Wizard as part of that landmark annual toy display is a delight for us and the children, because now they can play real music quickly and easily, almost...

Keyboard Cleaning

Keyboard CleaningThere are several ways to clean a keyboard. If it is simply clogged with dust, hair and other various particles, you can use a screwdriver to remove a few keys from each side of the keyboard and then use the can of compressed air to blow all of the stray particles out of the keyboard.Just be forewarned - it is difficult to pry out large keys such as the shift keys and the spacebar without breaking them, so you should probably stick to the smaller keys. To remove a key easily, pry upward gently until the keys pops loose. If 'sticky stuff' has been spilled into the keyboard or some of the keys are still somehow obstructed or sticking after you have tried using the above keyboard cleaning method, your next option is to remove the screws from the back of the keyboard and fully disassemble the keyboard. After you have removed the plastic molding from around the keyboard, simply remove all of the keys from the front of the keyboard (much easier now) and take a damp cloth and...
